This policy explains how NVISION Eyecare® (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website, nvision.nz.
Information you give us
When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the topic of your enquiry (optional) and your message. The dry eye appointment request form collects your first and last name, email address, phone number and message.
With each form submission we also record the page you sent it from, the page that referred you, your browser’s user-agent string, a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and, if you arrived from a Google ad, the ad click identifier. When you tap a phone number or open the booking window, we record that action with the page, referrer and browser type.
This website form is not for medical emergencies or for sending detailed medical records. If you have a sudden change in your vision or an eye emergency, please phone us or seek urgent medical care.
How we use it
We use the information you send to reply to your enquiry and arrange appointments. We use analytics and advertising measurement data to understand how visitors use the website and whether our Google ads lead to enquiries, so we can improve the website and our advertising.
Service providers
We use these companies to run the website:
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Mailgun delivers form submissions by email to our inbox, which is hosted by Google Workspace.
- Neon stores a copy of each form submission and the call and booking clicks described above, so no enquiry is lost.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads measure website traffic and ad performance (see below).
- Google Maps shows the map on our contact page.
- MyHealth1st runs our online booking. Details you enter in the booking window go to MyHealth1st and are handled under its own privacy policy.
- The web agency that maintains this website receives a copy of form submissions to monitor that the forms are working.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, which set these cookies in your browser:
- _ga (Google Analytics) — distinguishes visitors so visits can be counted; expires after 2 years.
- _ga_6DDTEBHKTT (Google Analytics) — keeps track of your current visit; expires after 2 years.
- _gcl_au (Google Ads) — helps measure whether a visit from a Google ad leads to an enquiry; expires after 90 days.
Google’s own services, such as the embedded map and the booking window, may set their own cookies when they load.

Your choices
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. To make a request, or to ask us to delete information you sent through this website, contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and access to form submissions is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please only send the details needed for your enquiry.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through it. Parents and caregivers are welcome to contact us about their child’s eye care.
