What a pair of glasses costs

Glasses pricing here is a package plus upgrades. The package price already includes your single vision lens with antireflective and antiscratch coating — so the starting figure is the real one, not a lens-less headline.

Step one

Choose a frame package

Every price below includes a single vision lens with antireflective and antiscratch coating.

Kids

ServiceFee
Fundamentals range$199
Santa Monica ultra-tough frames$399

Adults

ServiceFee
Fundamentals$199

Artisan$599 – $699
Step two

Add the upgrades you need

These are added to the frame package price above. Most people need none of them; a strong prescription usually justifies thinning.

Common questions

Questions about glasses pricing

Is the lens included in the frame price?
Yes. Every single vision price is a package: it includes the single vision lens with antireflective and antiscratch coating. Upgrades are added on top.
Can I put new lenses into my own frame?
Yes — that is the reglaze fee, $199. Note that a reglaze fee also applies if you use your own frame with Hoya MiyoSmart lenses, which are priced excluding the frame.
Why would I pay more for a thinner lens?
Higher index materials make a lens thinner and lighter for the same prescription. The stronger your prescription, the more difference it makes — we will tell you at the fitting whether it is worth it for yours.
How much are progressives in total?
The progressive design is an upgrade on top of a frame package. The practice’s own worked example: single vision spectacles at $299 plus the $699 progressive lens design upgrade comes to $998.
